That changing technology changes the world is a given.

The effect of changing technology on the human world hasn't changed over time. Technologies have changed over the millennium and generally made life better for most people. There are of course, consequences to changing the world. Some good, some bad. Some global in scope and others intensely personal. Some intentional and others despite the best of intentions. The best we can do is to plan for change, pay attention when it is happening and be ready to respond quickly to the unexpected.
